Job Description Job Description Position Summary Canon Nanotechnologies, Inc. (CNT), is an innovation leader of high-resolution, low cost-of-ownership nanoimprint lithography systems and solutions for the semiconductor industry. Our mission is to build the next generation semiconductor lithography tools. CNT is a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon Inc. CNT is seeking a summer intern to develop CFD models to design an apparatus using gas flow. Essential Functions The internship will focus on the refactoring of existing code to meet Modern C++ standards. The intern will apply OOP, algorithms and data structures knowledge to improve the performance of existing code. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Build, maintain, and refactor source code Work with the R&D and Process Groups to optimize existing algorithms Collaborate with the R&D Group to improve algorithm functionality Document and present the progress, design, and results in review Qualifications: Experience- Proficient with Modern C++ Knowledge of object oriented programming Experience with version control software Knowledge of Python language Knowledge of algorithms and data structures Good written and verbal communication skills Education- Pursuing BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related technical area with focus on numerical methods. Physical Demands/Work Environment Position requires continuous physical effort; intermittent and long-term work cycles; standing, walking, sitting, repetitive motion, and lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted. Up to 90 percent of time may be in front of a computer monitor. Up to 50 percent of time may be in a class 100 clean room. Must have good manual dexterity to work with cables and mechanical parts.
