Internship Details: Start Date: May 27th, 2025 End Date: August 1st, 2025 Must work between 320 and 400 hours within the timespan Schedule mutually agreed to with supervisor (flexible working hours/multiple shifts) Temporary/seasonal hourly rate: $13.00 Opportunity to gain work experience in local government The Internship Program provides an opportunity for high school and college students (16) the opportunity to work with a rapidly growing municipal government that places high value on education and advancement. A successful internship will provide you with work experience in local government and may even give you an idea of a career path you did not know was an option to you. Potential Intern Placements Available: Administration Animal Control Facilities Maintenance Finance Fleet Human Resources Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Information Technology (IT) Marketing and Communications Parks/Pecos Proud Permits Water/Sewer NOTE: A position listed above may choose not to accept an intern during this internship cycle. Experience and Education Requirements: To perform in this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
