Controller About the Company & Opportunity- Controller: CFS of New York is working with a prominent non-profit organization seeking a Controller to join their growing team The organization has been around for close to 20 years, has a little over $7M in funding and offer after school/summer programs for children who come from a challenging home environment The organization also helps children who suffer from mental/emotional abuse They receive funding from various revenue streams including : government grants, private donations, foundations, endowments, etc Our client is open to a candidate who is looking to step into a more strategic role Benefits of working as the Controller: Competitive compensation packages and encourage learning and growth development This role is hybrid and can sit in either of their locations in Brooklyn or the Bronx This position will be reporting to the Executive Director and will manage a staff of three Role Responsibilities - Controller: Overseeing accounting department, ensuring all timelines are met and providing guidance and support as needed Ensure timely and complete reconciliations, provide suggestions for improvement in this area Manage audit process Manage grants and funding sources, prepare financial reports as needed Assistant in strategic financial planning Account for and allocate funding from multiple sources Preferred Experience - Controller: 5 years of experience working in the nonprofit industry Bachelors degree Managerial experience is a plus
