IT Technician - Summer Student Position

St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic School Division seeking an individual with strong soft skills to join our I.T. Team, based at the division office in Leduc, Alberta. This is a part time summer position Monday through Thursday, 8 hours per day, 32 hours a week. This position will start July 1st or an agreed upon date and conclude at the end of August, before the new school year starts. Position Details: A technical position working under the guidance of the Director of Technology, involving inventory and asset management. Your main responsibilities will include decommissioning old equipment, inventorying existing equipment and assisting the IT department in day-to-day summer operations. Qualifications: · Is currently enrolled in or recently graduated high school · Has a working knowledge of computer and networking hardware · Knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems · Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment · Strong time management skills are required · Have a passion for technology and an eagerness to learn · Class 5 drivers to get to our office and back home daily Successful applicants will be required to submit a current (within 6 months) Criminal Record Check inclusive of the vulnerable sector.
