Join Our Team as a Housing Affairs Coordinator Are you passionate about international education, student experiences, and creating a welcoming home away from home? IES Abroad Amsterdam is looking for a dynamic Student Housing Coordinator to ensure that our students (mainly from the US) have the best possible living arrangements during their time in Amsterdam. In this role, you will work closely with the Student Affairs & Operations Manager to manage student housing placements for semester-long programs, summer terms, and short customized programs. You will also play a key role in supporting students throughout their stay, assisting during special events and trips, and providing emergency assistance when needed. If you have experience in hospitality, enjoy working with university students, and are comfortable handling housing issues and placements, we’d love to hear from you A significant part of this role involves administrative tasks (about 50% of your time), so strong organizational skills are essential. As part of your compensation package, you will also receive: 8% Holiday Pay in May & 8 % End of Year payment in December 29 days Annual Leave (on Full Time basis) A personal wellness budget Opportunities for personal development through training Housing Responsibilities Manage student housing for semester programs, summer programs, and short-term stays. Search for additional housing options Process housing forms and match students with appropriate accommodations & roommates. Ensure students sign housing contracts and understand responsibilities regarding behavior and damages. Manage municipality registration Conduct housing inspections, manage check-ins and check-outs, and coordinate maintenance when needed. Lead housing orientation sessions and provide ongoing support for students adapting to their new living arrangements. Resolve housing and roommate conflicts. Keep housing information up to date on the various internal and external platforms Student Affairs Support Collaborate with the team to plan and execute the orientation for semester long as well as short term programmes Present on housing matters during pre-departure and orientation sessions. Assist students in accessing medical care and managing insurance claims. General Responsibilities Participate in cultural events and field trips. Be on emergency duty (on a rotating basis, approximately once every 8 weeks). Other duties as assigned by the Student Affairs & Operations Manager or Centre Director. Who We’re Looking For We are seeking a proactive, organized, and student-focused professional who thrives in an international environment. Your Profile: Education: BA degree (or Dutch HBO), preferably in hotel hospitality. Languages: Fluent in English and preferably Dutch (written and spoken). Experience: At least 1 year in international education or the hotel hospitality industry. Skills: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, presenting and communication skills (written and spoken). Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using digital tools for administration (among others: Excel, Airtable, Moodle) and communication. Student-Focused: Ability to connect with and support young international university students. Flexibility: Willing to work occasional evenings/weekends and participate in an emergency duty rotation. Legal Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the Netherlands. For international candidates, prior experience living, studying and/or working in the Netherlands is preferred.
