Swim Manager

Job Title: Swim Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Swim Manager. The Swim Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the swim department, managing staff, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aquatics management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting water safety and recreational swimming. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement policies and procedures for the swim department - Hire, train, and supervise a team of lifeguards and swim instructors - Schedule staff and ensure adequate coverage for all swim programs - Monitor pool equipment and ensure maintenance is performed regularly - Coordinate swim lessons, swim team practices, and other aquatic programs - Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and promote a safe swimming environment - Communicate with patrons, parents, and staff to address any concerns or issues - Keep accurate records of attendance, program participation, and incident reports - Assist with special events, swim meets, and other activities as needed Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in recreation management, sports management, or a related field - Minimum of 3 years of experience in aquatics management - Current lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid certification - Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Knowledge of swim instruction techniques and water safety practices - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications - Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays If you meet the qualifications and are passionate about promoting water safety and recreational swimming, we encourage you to apply for the Swim Manager position.
