Position Summary

This is a project management internship where you'll get to utilize your knowledge and interests from what you have learned in school to work with the Banner Continuous Improvement team. You'll collaborate with teams to hold them accountable for project delivery while fostering mutually supportive relationships. This position will use LEAN project management methodologies for projects. This internship will be onsite at our Plymouth, MN headquarters location running May - August, 2025. Hours expected are between 30-40 per week.

What You'll Be Doing

* Assist with the design and implementation of lean project management methodologies appropriate for individual product development projects
* Foster collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with teams charged with implementing the various projects.
* Follow standards and best practices for planning, coordinating, measuring, monitoring, controlling, and reporting activities.
* Coordinate project timelines and ensure updates are received from teams.
* Help hold teams accountable for project timeline delivery
* Manage project management processes through continuous improvement, documentation, training and governance.
* Assist teams with data collection and additional resources

Required

* Currently pursuing a related Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology
* Strong MS Office Skills, particularly in Excel and Teams
* Excellent communication skills
* Desire to learn and apply multiple forms of project management, including LEAN and/or Agile techniques.
* Must be well organized, efficient, and detail-oriented

Preferred

* Some knowledge of project and change management: associated methodologies, techniques, processes, and approaches.
* Results oriented individual with the ability to deliver quality, on-time results
* Strong follow-up skills
* Familiarity with LEAN principles
