Information Technology Services (ITS) at the MCCCD is looking for an experienced Senior SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Developer. This role will lead report development and support activities for MCCCD's ten community colleges and District Office. The Sr SSRS Developer will be a technical subject matter expert over report development using SSRS tools, as well as a SQL expert. This role will be the primary contact for development of new reports, changes to existing reports, supporting ETL processes, and managing the documentation of SSRS reports. Additionally, the Sr SSRS Developer will have the opportunity to coach and mentor technical staff and collaborate with college and district staff to provide solutions for business needs.

Essential Functions
30% - Creates, deploys, and manages SSRS reports to meet customer needs; creates visually appealing and interactive reports to deliver actionable information to business units.
30% - Develops and optimizes SQL queries and creates and updates data flows from various data sources such ERP applications.
10% - Collaborates with functional team members and report users to gather and document report requirements; maintains up-to-date documentation of existing and new reports.
10% - Assists district and college developers with complex technical questions and issues related to accessing data and developing SSRS reports.
5% - Oversees report organization, report access, and user security on the SSRS report portals; SSRS Liaison for the district office for governance that provides SSRS operational report services to ten colleges and the district offices.
5% - Ensures the SSRS apps, developer tools, and security certificates are upgraded on a regular basis according to vendor releases and business requirements.
5% - Troubleshoots, tests, and resolves related support issues; performs system upgrades and patches.
5% - Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in information technology or directly related field and four (4) full-time equivalent years of technical experience in programming, systems analysis, design and development of system software and applications.

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree, education, certification and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building reports using enterprise reporting tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Power BI.
- Experience working with relational databases such as advanced query writing, table creation and manipulation, query optimization, or code debugging.
- Experience gathering and documenting report requirements and translating them to operational reports/dashboards.
- Experience with enterprise applications data such PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Human Capital Management, and Financials Management.
- Experience managing customer service requests through a ticketing system such as JIRA, SysAid, or Team Dynamics.
- Experience independently managing complex projects.
Special Working Conditions
This position is located in Tempe, AZ, and requires at least two days onsite.
MCCCD does not sponsor individuals for any type of work visas.
May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor.
