About the role
Role type: Fixed term, Residential
Dates: For course dates between end of June and end of August 2025
Working pattern: 6 days per week, up to 50 hours per week
Reports to: Deputy Course Director
As the Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organising, and leading the social and cultural programme for students attending our summer courses. You will ensure that all events run smoothly, provide an enriching experience, while prioritising safety and welfare.
Main duties
Activities and excursions - Responsible for running age-appropriate, engaging activities and excursions that align with educational goals.
Collaboration - Managing and working collaboratively with the on-course team, liaising closely with senior management.
Supervise students - Maintaining high standards of safety, discipline and engagement whilst providing an exceptional student experience.
Logistics - Coordinating off-site trips and excursions, including transportation, tickets, and health and safety measures.
Supplier liaison - Confirming bookings with external suppliers, such as activity and transportation companies, to ensure smooth operations.
Budgeting - Maintaining a commitment to staying within budget by carefully selecting valuable experiences and tracking expenses.
Safeguarding - Appropriately responding to any concerns that may arise.
Residential duties - Up to 10 hrs per week, as part of the residential team including morning registrations, meal time supervision, curfew checks and overnight phone duty.

You’re a confident and outgoing individual with a passion for working with young people, ensuring they have a positive and exceptional experience.
You’re able to organise and lead a group of students and staff on external trips and activities.
You can solve problems and quickly adapt to changes in a dynamic environment.
Essential
Experience of organising and leading activities, trips and events.
Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proven ability to solve problems quickly with a proactive attitude.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Right to work in the UK (we cannot sponsor work visas for this role)
Desirable
Knowledge of local attractions and venues for planning excursions
Experience of working in an educational setting or working with young people
Experience in leading or training a team
Familiarity with safeguarding and health and safety procedures
