GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:

The Pool Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety of aquatic facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies. Responsible for the complete operation and administration of the pool with a direct report to the Operations Manager.

SEASONAL: 10-35 Hours Per Week

DUTIES:
  • Open and close the facility and amenities of the facility daily;
  • Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations;
  • Make regular inspections of the pool and its equipment to assure that their condition is safe and sanitary;
  • Cleaning and stocking premises;
  • Properly disposing of all trash on the premises;
  • Monitoring facility and on-site supervision of public including enforcing rules and proper conduct;
  • Provide excellent customer service;
  • Oversight and management of seasonal staff;
  • Keep an up-to-date inventory, distribute, and collect equipment/supplies as well ensure they are handled responsibly;
  • Serve as the go-to person for rules or for challenging situations/disputes on premises;
  • Ensure organization and accuracy in paperwork including but not limited to facility inspection forms, accident/incident reports, deposit forms, work order submissions, record of attendance, etc.;
  • Responsible for cash handling procedures and deposits;
  • Keeping records of attendance, revenue, maintenance, and other administrative matters;
  • Communicates effectively with staff, officials, emergency personnel, Sheriff's office, and the public;
  • Provide routine information on facility policies, procedures, fees, and services;
  • Assist with projects needed for upkeep or maintenance;
  • Set up and break down for facility usage and/or event;
  • Attend trainings and conduct staff meetings;
  • Perform other related duties as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must have a valid driver's license that is in good standing; high school

diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age. Knowledge and application of aquatic facility management and lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques. Participated in the American Red Cross Lifeguard Management course or able to obtain within the first 30 days. Prefer AFO certification or equivalent.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Position requires standing/walking during the assigned shift. This is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for depth perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, operation of equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme heat, and noise.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

CPR/First Aid certification and American Red Cross Lifeguard Management Course within 30 days of hire.
