Join our Data and AI team as a Data Engineer! In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data frameworks. Your expertise will drive innovative solutions, enabling data-driven decision-making and enhancing our teams’ capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  Own the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines to support enterprise data initiatives.

  Responsible for building, testing, and maintaining robust data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow.

  Lead efforts in monitoring and improving data quality across various systems.

  Collaborate with management, peers, and development teams to effectively communicate technical solutions.

  Implement processes to enhance data ingestion and streaming using technologies like Spark Streaming and Kafka.

  Utilize Azure DevOps to manage and automate CI/CD pipelines for Databricks artifacts.

Year End Bonus:

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications:

• 
  

  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or other analytical discipline or equivalent experience

  
  


• 
  

  3+ years’ IT experience designing, developing, or testing enterprise applications.

  
  


• 
  

  3+ years’ experience with all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

  
  


• 
  

  3+ years of experience building, developing, and producing Power BI

  
  


• 
  

  3+ years’ IT experience working with enterprise database management system (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Informix, Teradata)

  
  


• 
  

  2+ years’ experience in using Python, Java, or Scala.

  
  


• 
  

  2+ years’ experience with Databricks and Apache Spark

  
  


• 
  

  Experience in data ingestion, streaming technologies such as Spark Streaming, or Kafka.
