ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE ASSISTANT:

We are Performing Arts Workshops, a children’s After-School and Summer Camp company, in search of a new team member…our new Administrative Assistant. With us, you can step away from the corporate world and into a creative space where you can make a difference in the lives of children..

LOCATION:

Our administrative office is located in Rolling Hills Estates (just above Torrance).

Only our teaching faculty work at the school and camp locations throughout Los Angeles.

PAY RATE…HOURS…HOLIDAYS:

  • $20 to $21 per hour based on education & experience
  • Monday - Friday: we offer a 40 hour work week with a full hour off for lunch.
  • 9:00am – 6:00pm (until summer camp begins)
    8:00am – 5:00pm (From June until the end of summer camp)

We are closed for ALL major holidays!

(Each year there are two working Saturdays just prior to the launch of Summer Camp. Those two dates are set by January.)

THE TEAM:

Our in-house office team, consists of the president of the company, an administrative office manager, two administrative assistants and a seasonal camp photographer. We are all covid vaccinated. Together, we are responsible for the managerial end of a summer camp and after-school program that takes place at schools and other venues where our teaching faculty work. Our office is not public facing and does not interact with clients in person.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Past experience working in an office environment.
  • Past experience with admin, data entry and clerical.
  • Past experience that utilized correspondence skills.
  • Proficiency needed in MS WORD
  • Experience with SOCIAL MEDIA, ACCESS, EXCEL, GOOGLE DRIVE & ZOOM is a tremendous PLUS.
  • Prior experience with any of the following is a PLUS: Education, Performing Arts, Teaching, or Children’s Workshops/Programs.
  • Must be able to clear a criminal background check.
  • Must be vaccinated for COVID.

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Our busy office environment requires an organized, multi-tasker with superior correspondence and verbal communication skills.
  • Heavy phone duties. This job requires a solid comfort level and ability to interact over the phone with our customers to promote our services, and provide customer relations & service.
  • This position requires extreme attention to detail, follow through, and an ability to oversee several projects at once. You must be able to work under pressure and troubleshoot while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • The ability to employ time management skills.
  • Assist with company email correspondence.
  • Data entry, filing and clerical duties.
  • Reviewing our student admission records for accuracy.
  • Retrieving records and electronic files from our database.
  • Ability to conduct online research.
  • Uphold and promote our company culture, policies, and procedures throughout the team, teaching faculty, and customer base.
  • To work in position of trust and act in good faith while managing our student’s tuition and protect their confidentiality.
  • Assist and collaborate with the company president and/or manager on projects on an as-needed basis.
