*Job Title: 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) for Students with Medical Needs*


*Location: Setauket Area, NY*


*Pay Rate: $48.00 - $55.00 per hour*

*U.S. Medical Staffing LLC* is seeking two *Registered Nurses (RNs)* to provide 1:1 care for students with medical needs in the Setauket area. This position involves providing medical care either during the school day or on the bus rides to and from school.




*Position 1 (Pay Rate: $55/hour):*


Care for a student with complex medical needs. The student has *cerebral palsy, spastic quadriplegia*, and is *non-ambulatory*. They also have a *G-tube, tracheotomy with trach suctioning, seizure disorder, and diabetes*, and are *non-verbal*. The student requires *diaper changes* and has an aide to assist. Your responsibilities will include riding the bus with the student, providing medical care throughout the school day, and returning on the bus with the student.




*Position 2 (Pay Rate: $48/hour):*


Provide care for a student with *generalized epilepsy disorder*, specifically during bus transportation. This position only requires monitoring and care during the bus rides to and from school.




*Schedule:*


* *June 10th - June 26th:* Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM - 2:15 PM


* *Summer Program:* July 8th - August 16th, same hours


* The positions will resume again in September




*Key Responsibilities:*


* Provide *1:1 professional medical care* during bus rides and, in Position 1, throughout the school day


* Administer medications, manage *G-tube feedings*, *trach suctioning*, and diabetic care (Position 1)


* Monitor and respond to the student's medical conditions, including *seizure disorder* (both positions)


* Maintain accurate clinical records and document all treatments and medications administered


* Work closely with other nurses, aides, and school staff to ensure a smooth day for the students


* Offer emergency aid to students as needed


* Communicate with parents and staff regarding the students' medical needs




*Job Requirements:*


* Current *NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license*


* Experience with *diabetic care*, *seizure medications*, and *trach suctioning* (for Position 1)


* BCLS or ACLS certification (The American Heart Association)


* Physical within the past year


* PPD, Chest X-ray, or QuantiFERON Gold TB blood test results


* MMR/Titers lab report


* Two forms of government ID


* Fingerprinting with the *Department of Education (DOE)* required
