The Resident Coordinator (“RC”) will act as the first point of contact responsible for the general management of incoming inquiries for all potential and current residents. The RC will assist current residents with entering maintenance work orders and completing the annual recertifications/renewals and applicants requesting assistance with processing their pre and new applications.

The RC will demonstrate professional presentation and provide excellent customer service to residents thus encouraging long-term tenancy. The RC will demonstrate this same high level of customer service to all particularly with RPM’s staff and many housing partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors while handling incoming calls and checking phone messages.
  • Assist residents and potential residents with setting up and completing tasks in Rent Café.
  • Build inquiry lists for lease-ups prior to lease commencement
  • Assist the District Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager with all general management of their assigned apartment developments
  • Maintain orderly file rooms; replace move-out file with new resident file, purge expired applications and declined applications in-line with RPM’s Information Privacy and Security Program
  • Assist in processing re-certifications with an eye towards reducing holdover.
  • Conduct market studies monthly to submit to Management to make sure we are staying consistent with current market trends and our rents are in-line with comparable properties.
  • Share best practices with colleagues not only within the assigned district but more broadly within RPM
  • Practice exceptional customer service, professionalism, safe work practices daily
  • Partner and work closely with all departments within RPM Development Group

Reports to: District Property Manager

Supervises: N/A

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required/College degree preferred/APM a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good sales and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Technology literacy and a solid understanding of operating software, Yardi experience preferred.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work periodic flexible hours is required.
  • Ability to work at property locations within or near transitional neighborhoods
  • Ability to climb stairs, take elevators, bend, squat, reach overhead and lift up to 25 pounds at times.
