As a Camp Chef, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including overseeing the kitchen staff, ordering food, and ensuring efficient meal service. Your role will involve budgeting, planning, and preparing large quantities of food for campers and staff. You will also be responsible for creating a unique menu that takes special diets and dietary restrictions into consideration. Additionally, you will need to monitor food inventory and prepare dishes that are within budget. As the Camp Chef, you will manage the kitchen and maintain accurate meal records, while also ensuring that all health department food-safety regulations and DPI (production logs, meal counts etc) standards are followed.
