Experienced Swim Instructor

Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and patient Swim Instructor to join our team and help individuals of all ages and skill levels develop their swimming abilities. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching, an understanding of water safety, and the ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment. Whether you're guiding a toddler through their first swim or helping an adult improve their technique, you’ll play a vital role in building swimmers' confidence in the water.

Being a parent or having experience working with children is a plus, as we work with many young swimmers and value patience, empathy, and the ability to relate to families.

Key Responsibilities:

- Instruct swimmers of all ages, from toddlers to adults, in water safety, basic swim techniques, and advanced skills.

- Customize lessons to fit the individual needs and skill levels of students, providing feedback and encouragement.

- Ensure the safety of all swimmers by enforcing pool rules and providing constant supervision during lessons.

- Demonstrate swim strokes and techniques clearly and effectively.

- Encourage swimmers’ progress and provide regular updates to parents and guardians.

- Assist in creating a fun, engaging, and safe atmosphere for all participants.

- Maintain cleanliness and safety of pool areas.

- Monitor swimmers’ progress and adjust instruction techniques as needed to ensure development.

Qualifications:

- Experience as a swim instructor or in a related teaching/coaching role.

- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding (or willingness to obtain).

- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with people of all ages.

- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching swimming.

- Ability to work with swimmers of varying ages and skill levels.

- Ability to demonstrate and teach a variety of swim strokes and techniques.

- Being a parent or having experience working with children is a plus.

- Previous experience in competitive swimming is beneficial but not required.

- Must have your own transportation
