WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Bridgepoint Investment Banking is seeking a Summer Analyst with 0-3 years of experience in the fields of finance, private equity and / or mergers and acquisitions.

Bridgepoint offers a full summer analyst internship program, typically for college students who are rising juniors or seniors. The Summer Analyst position at Bridgepoint provides a unique Midwest opportunity to work in a highly demanding, yet supportive, team-oriented environment with many of the same experiences as the full-time Analyst position, including:
  • Preparing marketing materials for M&A and capital raising engagements
  • Conducting industry and company-specific research
  • Identifying potential acquirors and capital sources
  • Maintaining accurate records on funding sources and centers-of-influence
  • Participating in the diligence of current and potential clients / prospects
  • Playing an active role in firm culture by participating in events and meetings with the broader team
The Summer Analyst will work alongside the Senior Principals of the Firm to support and execute principal investment and intermediary transactions. Bridgepoint offers a flexible culture that rewards initiative by including the following experiences:

The Internship position at Bridgepoint Investment Banking is uniquely demanding, a one-of-a-kind learning experience and provides the strong foundation to start a successful career in finance. Candidates should meet the following requirements:
  • Ability to assume significant levels of responsibility requiring intellectual curiosity, motivation, analytical aptitude and work ethic
  • Research, financial analysis and modeling of financial statements, companies, industries and M&A / capital markets and related trends
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Prepare materials used in marketing, business development and management presentations
  • Strong Microsoft suite skills: Excel (modeling and analysis) and PowerPoint (presentation preparation)
  • Sociable and a trustworthy team player
  • On-track to complete a degree in finance and / or accounting, or have successfully completed significant coursework in these areas
