Responsibilities:

Merchandise Planning:

  • Prepare seasonal sales targets by collection / brand across all relevant sales outlets.
  • Convert branch sales plans into monthly Sales, Stock and Gross Profit plans, ultimately determining Open-to-Buy for each collection.
  • In conjunction with the Buyer, ensure OTB spend budgets are agreed by store with key Brand partners.
  • Prepare in a timely manner, for the buying appointments, seasonal OTB spends by brand / store.
  • Make proactive proposals to deliver additional turnover and margin.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Responsible for management of stock levels against pre-determined monthly stock targets for each collection. This will involve a weekly review of Stock, Sales and Gross Profit performance compared to budgets and previous year’s figures.
  • Ensure that the OTB and stock targets are not exceeded.
  • Prepare of end of season analysis of category, colour, size and heel height performance.


Requirements

  • Currently operating at Assistant Merchandiser level
  • Highly analytical and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
  • Proven track record of delivering planned sales and margin targets
