About this opportunity:

This position is responsible for performing the safe service and installation of propane and oil equipment on a daily basis. This position is also responsible for the cleanliness of company vehicles, assisting with service-related projects, and providing a high level of service to customers and coworkers. Valid licensing and certifications for propane and/or oil-fired equipment installation, service, and repair required.

  • Apply knowledge of propane and oil-fired equipment to professionally install and effectively trouble shoot all aspects of related equipment. Demonstrate a level of skill that minimizes the number of call backs.
  • Operate a motor vehicle safely in every weather condition and at any time, day or night.
  • Utilize web-based platforms on tablet, smart phone, laptop, and desktop to manage workflow and record data.
  • Support Eastern's policies and procedures, including by maintaining required licensure, meeting state, Department of Transportation (DOT), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) requirements, and complying with all applicable regulatory standards.
  • Remain alert and focused and otherwise complete work in a safe manner.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety by engaging in safety meetings, safety training, and safety refreshers, alerting supervisor to unsafe actions, and modeling safety-conscious practices.
  • Perform system checks, including leak checks, and restart system appliances in accordance with Eastern's SOPs.
  • Maintain organized and professional standards and appearance in personal dress, hygiene, and cleanliness of vehicle (including within the cab).
  • Contribute to the team's reliability, including by communicating in advance planned absences and participating in the regularly scheduled on-call rotation.
  • Meet attendance expectations, which involves consistently arriving to work on time and being prepared to work within assigned, scheduled work hours, understanding that these scheduled work hours may vary based on the seasonal needs of the department.
  • Be receptive to and competently use new technologies.
  • Be receptive to and successfully complete other duties as assigned.
