Your Opportunity

We are seeking a summer intern to join our team in either Casper or Laramie, Wyoming. This position is ideal for someone with a strong interest in reclamation, remediation, and construction management, particularly within large-scale rangeland environments. If you are a trailblazer who likes forging new paths, coming up with new ideas, identifying and helping to develop complex structured solutions then this internship is for you!

As an Environmental Intern you will gain hands-on experience working on a dynamic and challenging project in the Shirley Basin, Wyoming. This role will involve a mix of fieldwork and office tasks, offering you the opportunity to apply your skills in real-world environmental applications.

You will assist staff with the following:
  • Preparation of plans and documents
  • Construction oversight
  • Cost estimates
  • Site development activities
  • Project research
  • Analyzing project data and performing basic calculations
  • Field work analysis
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

Education, Experience, & Licensure/Certifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environment and Natural Resources, or Energy Resource Management with a focus on reclamation and restoration.
  • Eligible candidates should be in their Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year at an ABET-accredited university in Wyoming
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Positive attitude and solid work ethic
  • Self-motivated with sense of urgency to meet deadlines
  • Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Basic understanding of civil engineering related fields
  • Experience with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to apply technical skills to project demands
  • Ability to navigate uneven terrain
  • AutoCAD skills a plus

Interns located in Wyoming will be paid $20.86 per hour.
