Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2025 Environmental Specialist Intern. In this role, you will work with Sikorsky subject matter experts in the environmental field, to include; air, waste, and water compliance, etc. Support the implementation of these programs, as they relate to the manufacturing operations. Work with the team on training programs as required by federal, state, local and company requirements. Perform compliance inspections, review, write and revise procedures and standard work as it relates to various programs. Review and update data in various systems as they relate to hazardous waste management, chemical management, air compliance, water compliance, Department of Transportation.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills with a customer-focused approach. The primary focus of this position is to provide technical Environmental support to the Operations Environment, Safety and Health team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a challenging business environment and gain experience working for a large company. Must be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Engineering, or related field at an accredited college or university to be considered for this position
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Ability to track, trend and analyze data

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
