Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and solution-focused individual to join our team as the Head of Operations. You will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of our business and events, ensuring they meet both financial and experiential goals. We will aim to translate those skills into helping us build out our Business Operations as we scale our growing start up.


This role requires someone who is not only a master organizer but also capable of managing a team and solving problems under high-pressure environments. You will be managing a one Full Time Operations Manager and working very closely with the company Founder to help translate ideas into formal, structured and executable plans.

Skills

  • Able to take ownership of E2E event delivery.
  • Experience in organizing and running events, races, and/or parties.
  • Strong event management background with a hands-on approach.
  • Problem solver who can think quickly and offer creative solutions.
  • High-pressure, high-energy environments excite you.
  • Hard worker with a "get things done" mentality.
  • Can communicate past challenges you've faced in event delivery and explain how you overcame them (or why you opted not to pursue certain ideas).

Responsibilities

  • Full Event Delivery: Oversee every aspect of event delivery from inception to completion.
  • Event Management Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive plans and procedures in house to help refine and professionalise our documentation and planning processes.
  • P&L Responsibility: Manage the financial performance of events, ensuring profit and loss accountability.
  • Vendor/Stakeholder Management: Liaise with key vendors, sponsors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration and high standards.
  • Business P&L: Oversee the profit & loss of events, ensuring they are run efficiently within budget.
  • Team Management: Manage event crew members, including our Operations Manager and other key team members, freelancers, and agencies ensuring they are well-coordinated.
  • Creative Implementation: Translate creative ideas into structured, reasonable, and executable plans and documents.
  • Hands On: Be at events, in the vans, and in the warehouses when needed, doing whatever it takes to get our experimental ideas delivered.


Extras

  • The role is Hybrid working, London based. Most work is done remotely, with the remainder of time spent on event sites delivering events
  • Working in a small business is hard. We work long days, over weekends, and especially in the summer season it is tough, stressful work.
