Salary: £27,000 (+bonus +benefits)


Location: The role will be based at our London office, Carmelite House, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.



This exciting opportunity would be a great fit for someone with a keen interest in audiobooks, who wants to work across all stages of the process and bring their ideas and enthusiasm to help us make brilliant audiobooks.

We started investing in our in-house audio studios in 2019, and following the success we have continued to invest and expand this operation by building more studios and expanding the team. Earlier this year we opened our first studio outside of London at our Sheffield office, this has opened up exciting opportunities to further expand the range of voices reading our audiobooks in line with our mission to change the story.



What you'll be doing



  • As a member of the studio pre-production team, you will work on your own range of projects, recorded at our Sheffield and London studios, ensuring they pass through all stages of our process and meet the required deadlines.

  • You will work with agents on casting suitable narrators for each project and our publishing colleagues to ensure recording sessions are booked into the studio and narrators are prepared for the sessions.

  • You will be responsible for raising PO's, sending out contracts and keeping our schedules updated on each projects progress.



Who we're looking for



  • We are looking for someone who is passionate about audiobooks, and who wants to get involved in the pre-production side of a recording studio environment with an interest in casting great voices for audiobooks.

  • You should be highly organised, have a good knowledge of Microsoft O365, be detail focussed and able to work independently on multiple projects.

  • The studio is a fast-paced environment and the ability to deliver to tight deadlines, whilst ensuring quality standards are met is a key skill we are looking for.
